Aperto gets WiMAX order from tier-1 Indian telco

Initial shipments begin immediately
Aperto Networks has received a WiMAX purchase order from one of India's largest telcos.
The order for WiMAX equipment based on the 802.16d standard is the first of many expected from the Tier 1 operator to build broadband wireless networks across India. Initial shipments are expected to begin immediately and continue over several years.
"We are extremely pleased to be working with this particular operator," said James Tocher, President and CEO of Tranzeo, parnet company of Aperto. "There are multiple opportunities for not only our WiMAX solutions but also our WiFi product line."
