Following the signing of a network-to-network interface (NNI) agreement to interconnect their networks, expanding connections to and from India, Pacnet and Bharti Airtel also announced a special "Gateway to India" offering for STM-1 and larger IPLC circuits between U.S. and India.
Delivered in collaboration with Pacific Crossing the "Gateway to Asia" offering will leverage the strengths of each company's subsea assets to provide a fast, resilient end-to-end connection for enterprise customers who have a large capacity requirement between these markets. The connections will utilize Bharti Airtel's i2i system, Pacnet's EAC-C2C network and Pacific Crossing's PC-1 cable system.
Bharti Airtel and Pacnet have signed an NNI agreement to interconnect their MPLS networks, and will look to provide advanced IP solutions to key business customers.
Pacnet has a regional MPLS-TE (traffic-engineered) infrastructure, provides pay-as-you-go IPVPN, and was the first company to introduce IP VPN with 5 classes of service and usage-based pricing including M-Flex. It says it is witnessing high growth in enterprise communication requirements to and from India.
Airtel has an advanced MPLS IP backbone infrastructure and a fiber network covering 125 cities and towns with 73787 km of optic cable.
