To sign agreements with 9 foreign firms
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. is looking to sign agreements with nine foreign telcos to expand its ILD and international corporate data services, Minister of State for Communications Gurudas Kamat told the Upper House
The foreign operators are Deutsche Telekom AG., PCCW Global, iBasis Inc., Oman Telecommunications Co., Qatar Telecom Q.S.C., BT Group PLC, Sri Lanka Telecom PLC, MCI or Verizon Business and NTT CA.
The state-run company already has 21 such agreements, he added
The minister said MTNL, the other state-run telecom company, doesn't have any proposals for such agreements with foreign service providers. "However, it has international roaming agreements with 366 operators in 163 countries"
